About This Quote

The words of Sai Baba, “[A] practitioner of any spiritual path must have complete confidence that his adopted path is, for him, superior to all others. (57)” can be interpreted two ways. On the one hand, the words of Sai Baba seem to state that there are no other spiritual paths superior or equal to his own. On the other hand, these same words can be interpreted as saying that he has found a spiritual path that is superior to all others.

It would be impossible to prove which interpretation is correct, but each must be true in some sense. The best interpretation is the one that is most useful to the person who is reading the quote.
